Nel 2003, durante gli studi, Massiel crea la prima collezione di costumi da bagno: Time. Lo stesso anno ottiene il primo posto al Concorso Nazionale della Creatività, celebrato a L’Avana (Cuba).

Nel 2004 viene selezionata per la Biennale di Sant Etienne, in Francia. Ha poi collaborato come costumista per la televisione cubana e ha organizzato diversi Fashion Show per la Casa della Moda di Cuba, La Maison.

Poco dopo aver ottenuto la Laurea come Fashion Designer all’Istituto Superiore di Design a L’Avana (Cuba), Massiel Mesa Fornaris arriva a Torino nel 2005 ed inizia la fruttuosa collaborazione con il prestigioso marchio italiano Prada.

Nel 2010 decide di creare il suo brand TORINOHAVANA e presenta Sublime, la sua seconda collezione di costumi da bagno, a Torino e alla Fashion Week di Milano.

Nel 2015 apre la sua casa di moda a Torino e unisce alla produzione di costumi da bagno la realizzazione di abiti da sposa, cerimonia e prêt-à-porter.

Collabora attualmente con diversi fotografi per shooting di moda e lavora come costumista per il teatro e come consulente per Brand emergenti.

Time is the first swimwear fashion collection that Massiel creates in the year 2003, while she is studying. In the same year she aquired the first award at the “Creativity National Contest Awards” that is celebrated in L’Avana (Cuba).

She was selected for the Saint Etienne’ s Biennial in France, in the year 2004. After this prestigious achievement she collaborated as costume designer on the National Cuban Broadcasting Television and she organized several fashion shows for Casa della Moda di Cuba, La Maison.

Soon after attained the Fashion Designer degree at Institute of Design of L’Avana (Cuba), Massiel Mesa Fornaris moves in Torino, Italy, where she is selected to collaboration with the prestigious Italian fashion brand Prada.

In the year 2010 she decided to found her own brand TORINOHAVANA. It is in the city of Torino and at the Milano ‘s Fashion Week where she displayed ” Sublime ” : her second swimwear fashion collection.

It’s in the year 2015 that Massiel established in Torino her own Fashion House: she is now dedicated not only to the swimwear production, but also to the creation of wedding dresses and prêt-à-porter original items.

At the moment she collaborates with several fashion photographers, she works as Theatre Costume Designer and as consultant for emerging fashion brands.
